Help: Drafts

Drafts (/drafts, the Drafts button in the top bar) is the list of every change that is saved but not published yet: your own edits, and your AI's when its token writes drafts. Only you see them; everyone else still sees the published topics. This page is where you read what changed and decide what goes live.

What the page shows

One row per topic that has a draft. Each row tells you:

  • The topic, as a link to it.
  • What it is built on: new topic (it doesn't exist for anyone else yet), on v12 (a change to version 12, which is still the published one), or changed since: v12 → v14 (someone published a newer version after this draft was started).
  • Who wrote it, when an AI did: the token it wrote with.
  • old, on a draft more than a week old.

What you can do with a draft

  • Diff opens what changed, line by line, under the row. Read it before you publish an AI's draft.
  • Publish makes the draft the published topic, for everyone. When a newer version was published meanwhile the button reads Publish over the newer version: open Diff first, because yours replaces it.
  • Drop draft throws the change away. The published topic stays as it is.
  • Edit opens the draft in the editor, to go on with it.
  • Publish all N, at the top, publishes every draft of yours in one go. Use it when you have read them, or when your AI did one piece of work across many topics.

The Drafts button in the top bar

It counts your drafts, and its colour tells you more: amber when you have drafts, red while one of yours conflicts with someone else's, pale yellow for an admin who has none of their own but whose project has other people's. It changes as soon as you publish or drop, without a reload.

When two of you draft the same topic

A red line at the top says how many conflicts you have and with whom, and each such draft is outlined in red, naming the other person. Unless your project turned it off (see-others-drafts: no in its settings), you can open their changes under your row; Merge into mine opens your draft in the editor so you can fold theirs in. Nobody can publish another person's draft for them.

For admins

Under your own drafts an admin also sees Other people's drafts, each with its diff. An admin with no draft of their own who opens a topic an AI drafted sees that draft there, with See the published one, Changes and Publish it.

Whether people see each other's drafts is a project setting, see-others-drafts, in Settings:PROJECT:

  • see-others-drafts: yes (the default): when two people draft the same topic, each can open the other's changes.
  • see-others-drafts: no: they see who else is drafting the topic, but not the changes.

Either way an admin sees everyone's drafts, and nobody publishes another person's draft for them.

Good to know

  • Editing a topic saves a draft as you type. Publishing it (Save) makes it visible to everyone.
  • Your AI's changes wait here. Most AI tokens write drafts, so you see the difference before it goes live.
  • One draft per topic. All of your AIs write into the same draft of a topic, each building on what is there.
  • A new topic's draft is invisible to everyone else, even by its link, until it is published.
